VP of Engineering 190-230k package.
Base target 150-175k, bonus target ~ 30-50k
Profitable 11 year old Newton, MA software company, acquired a year ago by a hedge-fund company with some other sister companies business intelligence tool for market research space.
Base Salary Target of 160k to 195k + bonus (10-40k)
Company is growing massively has doubled in size over the last year. 100% funded out of revenues!
15 people in the company, 5 people in engineering + 3 engineers in Russia and one in CA including 1 Software Manager who is your right hand for day-to-day management.
The Current VP is leaving to start a new company but is playing a key role in recruiting his replacement.
A rapidly growing software company in the data analytics, visualization, and reporting space is seeking to add a top technology professional as a key new member of senior leadership team. As VP of Engineering, you will own all the opportunities to leverage technology to achieve company goals and grow our business. Strong communication will be critical in this role within your own team, within the organization, with our partners, and with key prospects and clients.

Breadth of experience, working on all aspects of a large and interesting software product and leading engineering and IT teams
Oversee all technological resources of the company: software development, production data center and environment, operations, and IT
Lead a team of software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain at high levels of quality web-based business applications built on the Microsoft stack: ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server
Work to understand the vision of the company and express that vision in products and technology to meet the needs of the company, its partners and its clients
Co-manage the product roadmap with key business stakeholders
Develop and direct security procedures and safeguards to reduce the risk of outside breaches and protect sensitive information
Provide leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
Ensure that the technology team is agile and responsive to rapidly evolving business needs
Work with the sales team to support strategic clients and business deals
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
15+ years of experience in software design and development
10+ years of experience leading technical teams
College or University degree in Computer Science or a closely related discipline
Core Competency Requirements
Strong collaborative leadership with great interpersonal skills
Demonstrated critical and analytical thinking
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Comprehensive understanding of object-oriented and service-oriented application development
Experience designing, and leading development of enterprise grade software written in one of: C#, Java, C++, or C
Experience deploying and maintaining enterprise SaaS software in managed and cloud based hosting environments
Quality assurance and devops experience
Preferred Competency Requirements
Experience with AWS a strong plus
Industry experience in Data Analytics or Market Research
Computer network development and maintenance
Relational database design, SQL and ORM technologies
